Next Community Forum announced
Join us for a Planning Community Forum
Please Join us on Tuesday, 10 September at 6.00pm for an informative session on The Planning process in West Berkshire. This forum is an opportunity for residents, community members, and stakeholders to come together and discuss the planning proposals and issues that are shaping the future of our neighbourhoods.
The aim of the forum is to address various Planning-related challenges and opportunities within our district. Members of our Planning Team will be in attendance to provide an overview of the Planning process and answer questions on various planning related subjects including current planning policies and changes to Government guidelines.
This forum is designed to help you gain a comprehensive understanding of what planning involves, including the numerous factors that need to be considered. Whether you're curious about the latest planning policies or have specific questions about upcoming projects, this is your chance to learn and engage.
Topics that will be discussed include:
- Update on Local and National planning changes
- West Berkshire's online and digital planning services
- Environmental planning considerations
Justin Pemberton, Executive Member for Public Safety and Community Engagement, said:
"Community forums are vital in ensuring that residents voices help to shape decisions for our district. They provide an opportunity for open dialogue between the council and the community, allowing us to listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and work together to create a district that reflects the wants and needs of all."
To ensure that your concerns are addressed, we encourage you to submit your questions in advance.
Please send your questions to CommunityForumQuestions@westberks.gov.uk by midday Friday 6 September and we will make sure to answer them during the forum.
You can attend the forum in person at Henwick Rugby Club or join us online via Zoom, making it convenient for everyone to participate.
If you wish to attend, either virtually or in person, please email CommunityForumQuestions@westberks.gov.uk to register your attendance so we can keep an eye on numbers and contact those wishing to attend if needed. We will be sending out the link to join the forum virtually via Zoom, closer to the time.
