Parks, Playgrounds and Open Spaces

Information on our award-winning parks and open spaces

We aim to look after our parks, playgrounds and open spaces so that they are welcoming, clean, safe, attractive and accessible. You can view the locations of our parks, open spaces and play areas on our online map.

Parks

West Berkshire has two Green Flag Award winning parks:

These parks are managed by West Berkshire Council. For more information on how we look after these locations, please see our management plans for Icon for pdf Northcroft and Goldwell Parks [10MB]  and Icon for pdf Holybrook Linear Park [13MB] .

Other parks are managed locally by town or parish councils.

Children's Play Areas

We look after many children's play areas throughout the district; you can view a Icon for doc list of our play areas [29KB] , or find their location on our online map.

If you're looking for information about a play area that isn't shown on the map or in the list, it's likely to be the responsibility of the local town or parish council.

Newbury Town Council also provide a list of playgrounds in and around Newbury on their website.
