Non-Household Waste Charges at Recycling Centres

Charges to dispose non-household waste.

From January 2024, there will be changes to our charges for ceramics, rubble, soil and plasterboard.

We will accept up to four 25 litre rubble bags, or a single piece of waste no larger than 2000mm by 750mm by 700mm in size, for free, as long as you make no more than four visits with this type of waste over four weeks. Anything more than this amount will be chargeable at current rates to cover specialist disposal costs (as permitted by national legislation).

Before you visit one of our recycling centres you will need to book an appointment. Check the site restrictions and temporary changes to our service.

There is a charge to dispose of certain quantities of soil, rubble, ceramics and plasterboard at Newtown Road Recycling Centre and Padworth Recycling Centre. There is also a charge for tyres and gas canisters.

These types of waste are classified as non-household waste, which means that we have no statutory obligation to accept them at the recycling centres.

Charges for each item are listed below and payment will only be accepted by credit or debit card at the sites. (American Express is not accepted.)
