Consultation on the Proposed Main Modifications to the West Berkshire Local Plan Review 2022-2039

The West Berkshire Local Plan Review 2022-2039 (LPR) is currently undergoing independent examination. Main Modifications are being proposed to the LPR, and we consulted on these for an 8 week period between Friday 6 December 2024 and 11.59pm on Friday 31 January 2025.

As part of the consultation we invited representations on the the following documents:

• Schedule of Proposed Main Modifications to the West Berkshire Local Plan Review 2022-2039 (November 2024)
• Schedule of the Proposed Changes to the Policies Map (November 2024)
• Updated Sustainability Appraisal/Strategic Environmental Assessment (SA/SEA) Report - Proposed Main Modifications (November 2024)
• Addendum to the Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA) of the Proposed Main Modifications (November 2024)

All representations received by the Council have been sent to the Inspector and are available to view online here. The Council have prepared several additional documents that have been sent to the Inspector and which are available to download below:

• Report of responses received to the Consultation on the Proposed Main Modifications to the LPR
• Summary of key main issues raised during the consultation on the Proposed Main Modifications to the LPR 
• Schedule of Proposed Further Main Modifications to the LPR 
• Schedule of Proposed Further Changes to the LPR Policies Map 

The Inspector will now consider the representations and additional documents before finalising and issuing his Examintion Report.
