2024-East Ilsley Pump and Well House

West Berkshire is home to a vast collection of local heritage assets such as buildings, monuments, areas, and landscape because of historic interest. We hold a Local List of Heritage Assets within the district which have been considered by the public, and the Council, as having special local architectural, archaeological or historic interest that are not statutory listed.

The heritage assets included in the local list are considered to be of significance to the local community and to contribute to the environmental and cultural heritage of the district.

We need your help to better understand what local communities consider to be important in their local historic environments and we're considering the following nominations for inclusion on the local list:

  1. 6 Northbrook Street, Newbury, RG14 1DJ
  2. Crabtree Community Centre, Faircross, Hermitage, Thatcham, RG18 9TL
  3. The Village Pump, Compton Road, East Ilsley, Newbury
  4. White Lodge, Donnington Grove, Donnington, Newbury, RG14 2LA
  5. Post Box, Welford, Newbury
  6. Water Pump, School Lane, Burghfield Common, Reading
  7. Well House, The Wells Recreation Ground, Bunces Lane, Burghfield Common, Reading
  8. Marlston Stile, Brockhurst School, Marlston, Hermitage, Thatcham
