Homechoice: the housing register

Visit the Homechoice website

In West Berkshire, our social housing is provided by housing associations. To access a housing association home, you first need to be on the 'housing register'. The housing register is a register of people who want to be considered for social housing in West Berkshire.

You can apply to join the register on the Homechoice website.

Eligibility

You'll only be able to join the housing register if our assessment shows you are eligible, you have a housing need, and you meet our qualification criteria. You can find full details of who can join the register on the Homechoice website.

Bidding for properties

If you have been accepted onto the register, you will be sent information about how to 'bid' for available properties on the Homechoice website. 'Bidding' simply means you would like to be considered for the property.
