Wraparound Childcare

The main goal of the National Wraparound Childcare Programme is to boost parents' and carers' access to work or study by expanding the availability and uptake of wraparound childcare spaces for primary-aged children between 8am and 6pm (or at times that match local labour market patterns).
The goal is to make life easier for working parents or carers by offering reliable care that helps children start and finish their school day smoothly.
Cost and funding
Fees are set by providers, with financial support available through Tax-Free Childcare and Universal Credit Childcare for eligible parents. The MOD also provides funding for those eligible.
