Safeguarding Adults Board membership

The West Berkshire Safeguarding Adults Board was formed on 1st April 2026, following the end of the tri-borough West of Berkshire Safeguarding Adults Board. 

We will update the pages below as the new board reviews and updates information.


The Safeguarding Adults Board is made up of local organisations who work together to protect adults at risk of abuse or neglect with the view to keeping them safe.
 

Representatives from the following local agencies make up the Board:

  • Berkshire Healthcare Foundation Trust
  • Berkshire West, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board 
  • Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust
    (Note - there will be combined representation from the health partners above)
  • Department of Work and Pensions
  • Emergency Duty Service
  • Healthwatch - West Berkshire
  • National Probation Service
  • Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service
  • Sovereign Housing
  • South Central Ambulance Trust, Berkshire Division
  • Thames Valley Police
  • Thornford Park Hospital
  • Voluntary Care Sector Berkshire
  • West Berkshire Voluntary Services
  • West Berkshire Council
    • Public Protection Partnership

Board members are senior managers within their organisations who hold strategic roles in relation to safeguarding adults and can speak for their organisation, commit it to action and hold it to account. All board members are committed to working together in order to achieve continuous improvement in practice and positive outcomes for adults.
