Find childcare: out of school clubs
Search the Family Information Service
An out of school club (or wrap around care) provides before and/or after school childcare for school aged children. The school or club needs to register with Ofsted if they provide care for children under 8 years of age, for more than two hours per day, more than 6 days per year.
You may choose for your child to attend a mainstream after school club or they may prefer a more specialist environment like the outreach run by Mencap.
You may be entitled to help with childcare costs.
You can find help and advice for choosing the right childcare for you on the Best Start in Life website and useful guides from Coram Family and Childcare.
