Educational Support for Ethnic Minority and Traveller Children
Educational and language support for children from ethnic minority or Roma, Gypsy or traveller backgrounds
The Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service (EMTAS) provides guidance and advice to West Berkshire schools to help them to support pupils from minority ethnic backgrounds.
This includes those children for whom English is an additional language, and children from a Gypsy, Roma or Traveller background.
How to get support
If you feel that your child needs help with language or educational support and fits into the above criteria, please contact your child's school first.
The school will then arrange for a visit, and support, from EMTAS.
