Who won West Berkshire's 2025 Community Champion Awards?

The 2025 Community Champion Awards celebrated the outstanding individuals and groups whose dedication has strengthened communities across West Berkshire. Held in early 2026, the ceremony highlighted the exceptional impact of this year'snominees and the vital role volunteers continue to play in local life.

Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Mike Karasinski, recognised for his remarkable commitment to helping others. Sue Bennett and David Hamilton were Highly Commended.

Cold Ash Countryside Volunteers received Community Group of the Year for their significant contribution to conservation and community wellbeing, with Carebus Community Transport and Bradfield Village Hall and Associated Communities Highly Commended.

The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Tim Barton, honouring his long-standing service to residents, while Robert Wyatt received a Highly Commended acknowledgement.
