Pay or Appeal a Bus Lane Penalty Charge Notice

If you have been issued a Bus Lane Penalty Charge Notice, you can:

We will accept a discounted amount of £30, if payment is made within 14 days of the Penalty Charge Notice being issued.

If you choose to appeal the ticket, even within 14 days, the discount payment rate of £30 is no longer available, as the 'Notice to Owner' has already been issued. The appeal you submit is against the full amount of £60.

Never ignore a Penalty Charge Notice as the unpaid amount will only increase over time.

What happens if my appeal is rejected?

If your appeal is rejected by West Berkshire Council you are entitled to take your case to the Traffic Penalty Tribunal.

You can find further information on the process of a Penalty Charge Notice on the Patrol website.
