Active Travel Schemes Consultations and Engagement

West Berkshire Council is committed to encouraging active travel by introducing more walking and cycling opportunities throughout the district. We're taking action to make it safer for you to make walking or cycling your daily travel choice for local journeys. A number of the schemes are funded by the Government's executive agency, Active Travel England, with shared national and local of improving air quality, combating climate change, improving health and wellbeing, addressing inequalities, and tackling congestion on our roads. The government's objectives are set out in their Gear Change document.
