Tell us that you're moving home
Let us know your change of address when you are moving home, whether you're moving into, out of or within West Berkshire.
If you are an owner or a tenant, you need to tell us if you have moved in, moved out or have moved from one address to another within West Berkshire. If you are a tenant you will need your landlord details to hand (name, address and phone number).
Please use the appropriate online form on our My Council Tax site using the link below.
Moving into West Berkshire
If you're moving into West Berkshire from elsewhere, once you've completed the online form we will send you a Council Tax bill.
If you are eligible for any discounts, exemptions or reductions, you can apply once you have your Council Tax account reference. If you receive a discount, exemption or reduction we will send you an updated bill - please continue to pay the full amount on your original bill until we make a decision.
Once you have a Council Tax account reference, you can also sign up for a My Council Tax account so that you can:
- view your up-to-date account information
- check your balance, payments and bills
- update your contact details
- switch to paperless billing
Moving out of West Berkshire
If you're moving out of the council's area, once you've completed the online form we will send you a closing bill to your new address.
If you have a Direct Debit set up, please cancel this with your bank or building society.
If you receive Council Tax Reduction or Housing Benefit, please report the change of circumstances to the Benefits team as well.
