About the Team

The Contracts and Commissioning Team issues contracts to external providers of adult community care services, which includes care homes, domiciliary care agencies, supported living schemes, voluntary organisations and the community meals service.

Our work is carried out through consultation with people who require support, their families, carers and advocates, and key stakeholders such as the health and voluntary sectors.

We also help to develop new services and build commercial relationships with a range of organisations. Crucially, the team co-ordinates the tendering of new and existing service contracts.

Contract compliance, fee negotiation and trouble-shooting are also part of our ongoing contract management work.
