Let's Get Active Fund! Grants to Build Active Communities


The Let's Get Active Fund is back - with another £40,000 available to improve access to physical activities in West Berkshire.
Open to applications from individuals, clubs, groups or non-profit organisations, the fund has helped many community groups, organisations, social enterprises, charities and schools to start or enhance physical activity initiatives. This includes:
- seated exercise classes at Educafe in Newbury,
- football/rugby hybrid nets and a wheelchair-accessible table tennis table for East Ilsley Parish Council,
- a community basketball hub for Reading Rockets basketball club in Theale,
- new equipment for Kintbury Bowling Club; and
- • free tennis activity sessions designed for adults and children
- with learning, sensory and physical disabilities for Bright Ideas
- for Tennis.
The fund was launched in 2019 and is a partnership between West Berkshire Council and Greenham Trust.
