Greenham Parish - Community Governance Review now in process - Have your say!

We're working with Greenham Parish Council on a Community Governance Review. It's a legal process, where we consult with parish residents and other interested parties, such as businesses, schools, local churches, on the most suitable ways of representing them and making sure they all have a say in how their local community is represented.

West Berkshire Council is working with Greenham Parish Council (the Parish) on a Community Governance Review (CGR). A CGR is a legal process whereby the Council consults with parish residents and other interested parties, such as businesses, schools, local churches, on the most suitable ways of representing them and making sure that they all have a say in how their local community is represented.

The decision to undertake a CGR of the parish of Greenham was approved by West Berkshire Council at a meeting on 10 May 2022, following a request by the Parish to address issues relating to governance and wards.

Councillor Thomas Marino, West Berkshire Council's Executive Member for Internal Governance and Strategic Partnerships says,

"We are happy to be working collaboratively with Greenham Parish to put together and agree a governance plan for the future that is agreeable to all parties and in particular, the residents and stakeholders within Greenham."

As part of this process, the Council is asking residents and stakeholders to have their say about the internal boundaries of Greenham Parish and the governance therein. The consultation is open until Sunday 03 July 2022
