End of week 43
Continued progress with utilities and pavement construction.
The final stages of installing the utilities is being undertaken. Many of the required chambers have now been constructed, with different materials being used depending on their use. The concrete inspection manholes have been constructed, as well as plastic stackable chambers used for electrical ducting. The new kerb line has also been marked out with string, ready to be laid.

Some of the last infrastructure to go into the new road widening is for the new traffic signals, which will control the flow of traffic in and out of the new link road. This pillar serves as a central location for serving power to the traffic lights.

As with the previous sections, once the trench has been populated, the area needs to be backfilled and compacted in preparation for the tarmac layers.

Activities on site next week:
- Continuing to construct the new carriageway pavement and new footpath.
